Recipe: Pumpkin Cheese Ball


This is a fun and simple recipe that is perfect for fall parties or potlucks.  With a hint of spiciness, this creamy appetizer is sure to be a hit with all your guests.


Pumpkin Cheese Ball

Make ahead:  Chill for 4 hours.

1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 carton (8 oz.) chive and onion cream cheese spread
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (or to taste)
1 celery rib or broccoli stalk

1.  In a small bowl mix both cream cheeses.  Stir in cheddar cheese, paprika and cayenne.
2.  Form into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm.
3.  Make vertical lines with a knife to resemble a pumpkin; insert a celery rib or broccoli stalk.
