Recipe: Whole Wheat Parmesan-Herb Tortilla Chips

After I tried homemade crackers a few weeks ago, I realized that there is a much easier way to make them!  I sprinkled the ingredients onto whole wheat tortillas and within minutes made these crunchy, delicious chips.

Whole Wheat Parmesan-Herb Tortilla Chips

Makes: 16 chips

2 Whole Wheat Tortillas

Vegetable Oil
1 tsp. Parmesan cheese or to taste
1 tsp. basil or to taste
Pinch of salt

1.  Lay tortillas on a baking sheet and brush with a very small amount of vegetable oil.

2.  Sprinkle tortillas with Parmesan cheese, basil and just a pinch of salt.
3.  Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut each tortilla into 8 equal pieces.
4.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 5-6 minutes.  Cool completely before serving.

Dip in Roasted Red Pepper Hummus or salsa for a healthy snack.
