Meal Plan Monday - October 31

Winter isn't my favorite season, but I have found one benefit to all that cold and snow--it gives me the perfect excuse to eat delicious, warm, stick-to-your-ribs comfort food!

After a summer filled with salads, sandwiches and grilled hamburgers, I am always ready for winter soups and stews, biscuits, and casseroles.

Here in Maine, winter came earlier than usual as we got our first snowfall this past weekend.  I am looking forward to preparing some warm meals for the cold winter evenings.

Here's what's cooking in my kitchen this week:

Breakfast
Cereal
Waffles
Bananas
Pumpkin Pancakes
Amish Baked Oatmeal

Lunch
Ham Sandwiches, Yogurt
Tuna Salad Sandwiches, Homemade Apple Sauce
Chicken Nuggets, Peas
Dinner Leftovers

New Focus and Design For Vanessa's Values

Welcome to the new Vanessa's Values!

I started Vanessa's Values over a year ago in order to share how I am able to save money using coupons.  Over the course of that year as I got more involved in preparing coupon matchups each week and posting coupon deals, I realized that my hobby was slowly becoming a full-time job {minus the paycheck}.

This past summer I had some health issues that prevented me from blogging for several months.  During that time while I focused on my home and my family, I thought a lot about what I wanted to share at Vanessa's Values.

After much consideration, I have a new focus for Vanessa's Values.  As you can see from the new design, the ideas that I plan to share on this blog are Faith, Family, Food, and Frugal Living

I will no longer be able to post coupon matchups, but I still plan on posting some of the grocery deals and coupons that I find each week.  I will also be using the facebook page to share links to deals and coupons that I find but don't have time to post on the blog.

One of my favorite hobbies is baking and I especially love trying new recipes and experimenting in the kitchen.  I'm hoping to share some of the new recipes that I try along with some old family favorites.  I will also continue to post my weekly meal plan in the Meal Plan Monday series.

Since Christmas is right around the corner, I've been searching for some fun, homemade gifts to give to friends and family this year.  As I find new homemade projects to try, I hope to share the results with you.

I can't wait to get started!  I hope you will find the new Vanessa's Values a fun and uplifting stop on your journey across the web!
